KINDERGARTEN TO 8TH GRADE APPLICATION CHECKLIST:

• 2025-2026 School Year Application

• Application Fee of $75 (non-refundable, may be paid by check or online)

• Copy of Birth Certificate

• Signed Student Recommendation Release 

• Student Recommendation Form (Kindergarten only)

• Teacher Recommendation Request (Grades 1-8)

• Past 2 full academic years and current grade’s year-to-date Standardized Test Scores & Report Cards (Grades 1-8 only)

For 2025-2026 Kindergarten, children must be 5 years old by December 1, 2025

Zion Lion Days are scheduled for students applying to 1st through 8th grades. Applicants will spend a full school day getting to know the students in their grade and the Zion school environment by shadowing a classroom buddy. Applicants will also complete a Math and Reading assessment during their Zion Lion Day. Assessments aid in determining your child's academic placement at Zion. 

 

Kindergarten applicants will complete a Kindergarten readiness assessment as part of the Kindergarten application process. This will be scheduled after all Kindergarten application materials are received. We take pride in making the assessment fun for the students.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The recommended application deadline is April 1. The final 1st - 8th application deadline is May 1.

KINDERGARTEN ONLY: Our priority Kindergarten application deadline for 2025-2026 is December 15, 2024. We will notify you of our Kindergarten admissions decision in mid-February 2025. Kindergarten applications received after December 15, 2024 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If accepted, you can reserve your child's seat in the class by submitting a deposit that will be applied toward your child's tuition.
